This Privacy Policy describes how KlipTools AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at kliptools.io (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
When you use our tools, you may upload files (videos, audio) for processing. These files are processed on our servers. Your upload is deleted when the job ends. The finished result (for example the converted or transcribed file) is kept so that you can download it: for up to 6 hours for tools that run as queued jobs, and for about 1 hour for the video downloader. After that it is deleted. We do not review your files.
If you buy a credit pack, the purchase takes place on kliptools.com and the payment is handled by an outside payment provider (Stripe or Paddle), not by us. For each pack we keep the e-mail address given at checkout, the amount paid, and the credit code and its balance, so that we can send your receipt and activate the pack. Credits are spent against the code you enter on a tool page; no account is created.
After a download, a tool may ask you to rate the file from 1 to 5 stars and add an optional comment. Ratings are anonymous: we do not store your IP address with them. So that we do not ask you twice, we keep a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (for IPv6, of its network prefix) for up to seven days, which cannot be turned back into the address.
If you tick “Let me know when this tool is fixed or my suggestion is added”, we also ask for your e-mail address. We use it only to answer that feedback and to tell you when the tool has been fixed or your suggestion added. We do not use it for newsletters or marketing, and we never sell or share it. It is stored with your rating on our servers and included in the notification e-mail we receive about your feedback. Feedback given on kliptools.io is passed to kliptools.com, which sends that e-mail to us. You can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact details below.
